Jae-sup, a 32-year-old academy teacher, chooses to set himself apart from the world and focus on writings that no one will read. His only social life seems to be the monologues he shares once in a while with a prostitute. So-hee is a 17-year-old high school girl whose pessimism towards the world drives her into prostitution, pregnancy, abortion and self-hate. In the oppressive and worldly space of the academy, Jae-sup and So-hee find each other. At the bus station where people come and go, they realize that the bond that ties them is more than special.
 Director Lee Mi-yeon has previously worked as a producer on acclaimed features such as The Quiet Family and The Foul King. In this debut feature, using her own language of realism and slow pacing, she presents a love story about two people carrying their own weight of alienation who are slowly drawn to each other Shot in cinemascope, the dreary and apathetic city spaces captured on camera present a perfect parallel with the reserved psyche of the main characters.
