Try painting a picture of an America family with traditional family values - a house in the suburbs, two cars, a mother and a father, one child, a career and a family business- in fact the film, Family Values, is a perfect case of Americana. The members of this family are two parents who are both women, Donna and Becky, and a son. Donna’s day job is as a Philly police officer and their family business is cleaning up after death scenes. Their family business requires heavy-duty detergent and a multi-functional vacuum machine. The most difficult task for them is to eliminate all traces of human brains, and picking up human eyeballs is also just as arduous. A bizarre comedy done in lively touches, Family Values introduces an alternative family of today. (Nam In-young)
