SYNOPSIS

Kyoko, a heterosexual girl who behaves as she pleases, and Chinatsu, a lesbian girl taking photographs as if she were keeping a diary, live together in a solitary house. Together they smoke dope and take jobs as bunnies in a hostess club to pay the bills. Kyoko falls in love with Sakamoto, a tropical fish shop manager, who never cares for her. Chinatsu then takes to Kyoko, but Kyoko pretends she does not notice Chinatsu¡¯s attentions. Chinatsu feels lost in her own sexuality. (production notes)

  • Kaze ShindoKaze Shindo

    Born in 1976, Kaze Shindo is the granddaughter of the director Kaneto Shindo. She studied Visual Communication, Cinematography and Lighting at the Japan Film School. She has produced and directed several documentaries on her grandfather for television.
