SYNOPSIS
The stories of women on the road always make our hearts beat faster, as we get to meet the women who break with the past to start over their lives anew. Aurelia, is a such woman. She is a young unwed mother, a hotel maid who draws up a plan for better life and runs away from her drug-dealing boyfriend, taking his money along with her to seek a better life for her kids and herself. Ana, a Mexican pre-history antique dealer who¡¯s on the run from the police joins them in their beat-up car. The journey of these women of two different classes, with differing cultural and intellectual backgrounds, is wrought with mistrust and betrayal, dependence and friendship. Aurelia and Ana¡¯s journey across Mexico not only deals with male violence, but also delicately engraves the differences in class, culture and history. Will they be able to complete their journey without leaving any traces, thus fulfilling their dreams?
