A landscape is a view of the world seen by a stranger¡¯s eye. To the people who live there, a place isn¡¯t seen as a landscape, but as the world of life itself. Loosely based on the filmmaker¡¯s own experience, the film tells the story of I, a foreign student from Korea, and Anna and her boyfriend, who stay temporarily in the house of ¡®I¡¯. Anna and I are nomadic subjects who dream of a border-crossing life, while Anna¡¯s boyfriend is a settler who is afraid of deviance and the illogic of life. Living in worlds of different languages, it is inevitable that their group will fall apart. A free-moving camera captures these women¡¯s lives just like their nomadic spirits. (MAENG Soo-jin)
