JEONG Seung-o

Filmmaker

Having directed five short films, including Birds Fly Back to the Nest (2016), the director went on to expand into feature filmmaking with Move the Grave (2020) and Coming Of Age (2026). Rounding out the filmography, the director also produced Gyeong-ah's Daughter (2022) and contributed to the script polish for Concrete Utopia (2023).

YU Eunjeong

Filmmaker

Yu Eunjeong won the Grand Prize in the Asian Short Film & Video Competition at the SIWFF for her short film Lights in the Dusk(2012). She has since directed numerous other short films, including I Hate It (2015), A Game of Catch (2015), and Dead Time (2017). She made her feature film debut with Ghost Walk (2018), which won the Bucheon Choice Audience Award at the BIFAN. Her second feature film, The Second Child (2025), was invited to the Vision section of the BIFF.

HUANG Hui-chen

Having dropped out of school at age ten, cinema became Huang Hui-chen’s window to the world and her voice to speak to it. Her debut feature documentary, Small Talk, took home the Teddy Award at the 2017 Berlinale along with several other international accolades. She is currently producing her second feature-length documentary, LOMÁ.

LEE Mi-rang

Lee Mi-rang studied film and creative writing. She worked as a script supervisor on Lee Chang-dong's Poetry (2010) and Zhang Lu's A Quiet Dream (2016), and wrote and directed various short films and the feature film Concerning My Daughter (2024).

CHA Hanbi

Cha Hanbi writes for the film webzine REVERSE and is a member of the Critics Division of The Association of Korean Independent Film & Video. In 2024, she published her first essay collection, Writing Every Clamor as a Rainbow.

Hugo Jinseok KANG

Independent Film Researcher and Producer

Kang studied visual anthropology and film theory. He began his career as a documentary producer before joining DMZ Docs, where he worked as a programmer from 2021 to 2025. He is now conducting research and working on several film projects.

SON Sinae

Programmer, SIWFF

Son Sinae debuted as a film critic after winning the Rookie of the Year Award from the Korea Film Critics Association in 2016. She is a contributor of the film webzine REVERSE and the magazine FILO, and a member of the Criticism Division of the Korea Independent Film Association.

SONG Hyojoung

Programmer, SIWFF

After winning the 12th CINE21 Film Critic Award, Song Hyojoung has continued her work in journal criticism and has been active as a writer and programmer with the Independent Film & Video Makers' Forum. As a researcher, she focuses on the cultural order in Korea during the colonial, liberation, and Cold War periods, and engages with representational systems as a film critic.
