  • Roya SADAT

    Filmmaker

    Roya Sadat is a pioneering Afghan filmmaker and founder of Roya Film House. With over 20 years of experience, her films center on women's and children's rights under the Taliban regime. Her debut feature, A Letter to the President (2017), was shortlisted for the Oscars and won multiple international awards. She has also created acclaimed TV dramas for TOLO TV and founded the Herat International Women's Film Festival and RFH Academy. For her work, she has received the International Women of Courage Award and the Kim Dae-Jung Nobel Peace Film Award.

  • CHOI Sungeun

    Actor

    Choi Sungeun began her acting career while studying acting at the Korea National University of Arts. Her debut film, Start-Up (2019), earned her the Best New Actress Award at the 25th Chunsa Film Art Awards. She went on to showcase her versatility in the drama series Beyond Evil (2021) and the Netflix series The Sound of Magic (2022). For her performance in Time to Be Strong (2024), featured at the 26th SIWFF, she received the Best Actor Prize at the 25th JEONJU International Film Festival.

  • Helen LEE

    Filmmaker

    Helen Lee holds degrees from the University of Toronto (BA), New York University (MA), and York University (MA), and completed programs at the Whitney Independent Study Program and the Canadian Film Centre. Her work has screened at major festivals, including Toronto, Busan, Clermont-Ferrand, Oberhausen, Sydney, Singapore, Fukuoka, Chicago, and Thessaloniki. Retrospectives of her films have been held at Pleasure Dome (Toronto), Arsenal (Berlin), and the Taipei Film Archive.

    She writes broadly on the visual arts, with a focus on film. In 2022, she began writing criticism in earnest after receiving the Excellence Prize at the CINE21 Film Critic Awards. She occasionally creates film-like works and co-runs "sorigrim," a community project that explores the intersection of visual art and text.

  • SHIN Eun-shil

    Film Critic

    Shin Eun-shil curated programs at the Seoul Eco Film Festival, Cinema Digital Seoul Film Festival, and EBS International Documentary Festival among others. She is the co-author of a number of published works including The Korean 100 Films, The Independent Movie of the 21st Century, Jerzy Skolimowski. She translated Duras / Godard Dialogues in Korean. She served as a jury member for the Experimental Film & Video Festival in Seoul (EXiS), Festival Film Dokumenter (FFD) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, Indie Film Fest Busan and Seoul Independent Animation Festival, etc.. She is currently a lecturer at Korea National University of Arts.

  • LIM Ohjeong

    Director / Writer

    Lim Ohjeong has made numerous short films, including Empty Lies (2008), No More No Less (2013), and "Call If You Need Me" from the omnibus film A Midday Picnic (2018). Her feature debut, Hail to Hell (2022), premiered at the Busan International Film Festival.
