Pitch&Catch is an open pitching program that discovers and nurtures projects by female creators to support their pre-production and pitch. It produces solid work every year and has a track record of an outstanding production success rate. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that has continued since last year, 126 projects were submitted to the feature and documentary categories, reflecting the ongoing interest in Pitch&Catch. We'd like to affirm once again the power of stories that transcend boundaries that promote anxiety and discrimination in a time of upheaval.
Pitch&Catch supports the planning, development, production, and networking of both feature films and documentaries, expanding the support to a total prize of 75 million KRW. On August 31, the Pitch&Catch's main event will be held at MEGABOX SangamWorldcup Branch, where 10 selected feature films and documentaries will undergo a public pitching, and have business meetings with industry personnel who have seen the pitch.
A wide range of content industry personnel, including film industry, OTT platforms, and original content productions, will be invited for business meetings in order to meet the rapidly changing new content culture as well as the scalability to various platforms fueled by COVID-19.
