SYNOPSIS

Siyeon receives a letter of acceptance to graduate school abroad and dreams of emigrating. However, she hears that her grandfather Yeong-beom could die soon. She feels that she has to stay by his side. Two different ways of life—her mother taking care of Yeong-beom and her aunt living differently—make Siyeon think hard about leaving Korea.

PROGRAM NOTE

After receiving an admission letter from a graduate school abroad, Siyeon is not happy. Her family’s situation deprives her of the moment to enjoy her effort and the achievement, and this makes her feel guilty. Her grandfather, Yeong-beom, is about to die after a long struggle with illness, and her mother, who has been in charge of caring for him, hopes Siyeon will change her mind and stay home. Siyeon is at a crossroads: Will she sink or start moving? [AHN Boyoung]
