This story begins with the "discrimination" that takes place so naturally within the school, that most ordinary of spaces. I want to look closely at the rules that come to be taken for granted when no one questions them, and at the discrimination and prejudice that are read as consent when no one says they object. Before we knew it, our rights had become actions possible only by summoning courage. But I wanted to say that such courage begins not from some grand occasion, but can also be sparked by someone beside us who understands us and cares for us.
