Kym, a former model who has been in and out of rehab for a decade due to drug addiction, returns home after a long absence for her sister Rachel's wedding. As the whole family gathers ahead of the ceremony, Kym causes one mishap after another during the wedding preparations, sparking sharp emotional clashes with Rachel. In the process, long-buried secrets from the family's past are laid bare.
Jonathan Demme (1944- 2017) was an American director and producer, known for The Silence of the Lambs (1991), Rachel Getting Married (2008) and Philadelphia (1993). His films have been nominated for 20 Academy Awards. He has produced 17 films, including seven documentaries, which include the Oscar-nominated Mandela(1996)
