Nora wakes from a strange and unsettling dream. She is running through a dense jungle when she notices a mirror hanging from a tree. As she approaches, she sees blood in her mouth and discovers one of her molars has fallen out. Suddenly, her surroundings shift. She realizes she is pregnant and, in the middle of the forest, calmly gives birth to a calf. The following day, while driving back toward Tehran, Azad decides to make one final attempt to obtain his father’s signature. Despite Nora’s concerns, they head toward his remote village. But the reunion quickly turns bitter. His father and older brother see him as a source of shame and dishonor and force him to leave. Later, after realizing he may have forgotten his phone at the house, Azad returns alone while Nora waits at an agreed meeting point. He never comes back.​
