Amidst the epoch of necrocene, non-human actors—the archaic women of the waters—converge upon the portal Pari in pursuit of the animating elixir.
Ever since the days of Bariteo, the women's visual media collective, Baridegi has always been in my heart. I wanted to take the tale of Baridegi—the abandoned girl who journeys toward another world in search of the water of life, laboring alongside Mujangsaeng and giving birth to children in an interspecies symbiosis—and, borrowing the power of AI imagery, turn it into a speculative narrative. This is the birth story of Portal Pari.
