A shy girl walking home alone takes to the sky to shake off her loneliness. Her ability to use magic is a secret from her classmates.
I created this animation to empathize with children who feel that life is difficult. People often say "Everyone experiences loneliness," and I think children are no exception. When I look back on my own childhood, I remember that relationships between children were often harder than adults imagine. An event that seem small to adults can feel like a life-changing crisis to children.
Through this film, I wanted to show empathy for children who survive such things day after day, and to send them a small message of encouragement. I want to tell them that it is okay to be alone. It is okay to be different from others. Everyone has their own inner world, and loneliness is something we all experience.
