It is seen as a sacred space of togetherness, but in reality, it breaks us down into fragmented individuals. It seems that people would rather hold on to the myth of family than face its reality.”

After becoming mothers, women often find that the only way to reclaim their sense of self is to completely step away from motherhood. Once they return to the family, they are drained and reduced to just one identity — “the mother at home.”

This film centers on three women across different generations within a family, and the quiet tensions that bind them together. Rather than judging their choices, it observes how expectations of motherhood shape, burden, and repeat themselves across time. By focusing on the mother–daughter relationship, the film explores female intimacy as a space where conflict and self-definition quietly emerge.​
