Director's Statement
This film is an intimate exploration of how technical exercises in cinematography, often seen as purely practical, can become deeply personal expressions of self. As a student, while I was going through the motions of learning, I began to realise that framing, lighting, and composition subtly mirrored an inner world, revealing emotions I had not yet articulated. The camera became my confidant, and the images took the form of a diary. Revisiting those quiet, everyday moments through this project helped me uncover how artistic expression emerges. This film is a personal journey that encapsulates the small, deliberate artistic choices we make—choices that reflect who we are. It is a meditation on creativity as survival, and on how the act of seeing is, ultimately, an act of being seen.
