Synopsis
A reminiscence of my time at my alma mater, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, way back in the early 1990s—of how the atmosphere of an indiscriminate gaze in the institute healed my heart, helped me accept myself as I am, and helped me find joy and the freedom to be me.
Director's Statement
Three decades later, as I look back on my time at the alma mater, the experience of freedom and a sense of belonging stand out amidst the many memories of love, joy, struggles, disappointments, and the many shades of grey in between. The freedom to be myself, and the freedom to evolve and create as I wished, were treasures I absorbed—an ideal place to grow, even though constantly shaken by many hiccups!
