Synopsis
A pharmacist receives a prescription that exceeds the standard dosage, bringing back memories of her girlfriend who disappeared years ago. As the past collides with the present, scattered memories and facts drive her to a bold decision.
Director's Statement
At first, this film seems weird. The motivations of the characters are vague, and the events unfold without a clear direction. The pharmacist¡¯s memories are nothing but flimsy. Why did her former lover disappear? Was it really related to the doctor? Was the doctor overprescribing, and had he used the drugs himself? Why would he do this? Was it a joke, a prank, an attempt to satisfy the ego, or a means of letting go of repressed desires? Perhaps this short film is a mirror reflecting everyone¡¯s assumptions.
Would the young patient with rhinitis believe the pharmacist or the doctor? Would she choose a side? Whom should she side with: reason or emotion? Or could you tell if it's reason or emotion?
The echoes of uncertainty that frustrated us once or many times span the film. Our minds are crowded with hazy, untenable fragments of the past. What we "see" and feel may be tangential to the facts, which lose relevance over time. Even if we were to gather all the facts, perhaps we would still never piece together a complete past.
