Synopsis
Introverted 16-year-old Lucia joins her Catholic school's all-girls choir, where she befriends Ana-Maria, a popular and flirty third-year student. However, when the choir travels to a countryside convent for a weekend of intensive rehearsals, Lucia's interest in a dark-eyed restoration worker tests her friendship with Ana-Maria and the other girls. As Lucia navigates unfamiliar surroundings and her budding sexuality, she begins to question her beliefs and values, disrupting the harmony within the choir.

Urška DJUKIĆUrška Djukić (b. Ljubljana, Slovenia) studied media arts with a focus on film at the University of Nova Gorica's School of Arts. After completing her master's degree, she directed the short animated film Bon Appetit, La Vie! (2016), which won the Slovenian Film Award. Her most recent short animated documentary, Granny's Sexual Life (2021), received over 40 international awards, including the European Film Award for Best European Short Film. Little Trouble Girls is her feature debut.
