SYNOPSIS

An eccentric, animated documentary on the “herstory” of some of motion picture’s greatest (and often overlooked) contributors. Can you easily name a handful of your favorite women filmmakers? By the end of this colorful and vibrant short you will be able to.

PROGRAM NOTE

This animation will remind you that the now-familiar phrase female movie or female director still gets our heartbeats. The “charming little” that characterized the first female filmmaker has been erased, and the herstory is now recreated in various ways. Herstory must continue to be rewritten just as the film’s title changed from A Herstory of the Female Filmmaker to A Herstory of Women Filmmakers in ten years. [JANG Yunmi]
