¡°I-Teens¡± is an official competitive section for the films made by teenage Korean women filmmakers. These films unveil the world that only teenagers can see and hear. The chosen films in this section all demonstrate keen contemporary insight through capturing the conflict between adulthood and childhood, breaking through the rupture with the world or reflecting upon self, or satirizing the agony in the era of ¡°social distance.¡± It was a pleasure to encounter films that do not only focus on the narrative or subjects but painstakingly delve into the cinematic form in structuring shots, edits, and sound construction. SIWFF will select two films to receive the Grand Award and I-Teen Award, respectively. [KIM Hyunmin]
