Pitch&Catch Finalists Announcement

The finalists of the 10th Pitch&Catch Contest have been announced. The 10th Pitch&Catch submissions opened previously on June 10th and lasted for 21 days. There were a total of 106 submissions, feature film being 69 and documentary 37. Through intense evaluation and in-depth interview, 10 finalists were selected at last, 5 each for feature film and documentary.

The preliminary judges stated that this year, music films were particularly dominant in terms of genre, and women¡¯s issues tended to be dealt in diverse genres and viewpoints. Although selection was not easy among the many good stories, the judges selected ones that supported the purpose of SIWFF and also focused on the possibility of production and finding new potential female filmmakers.

The Pitch&Catch documentary submissions have been increasing every year and has met its highest yet, a total of 37 entries this year. Expectation grows towards the selected finalists that involve the perspective female filmmakers have toward the present age and their extensive view on women.
