Asian Premiere | 2014 Premiers Plans Festival - Angers / 2014 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival

Synopsis

Anna, 30, returns home after years of absence. She has not been in contact with her family since she left home except sending some postcards to her grandmother. The family reunion is strained by a lot of tension. Despite her brother¡®s insistence, Anna remains silent about why she left and why she has come back.

Program Note

Anna, a successful actress, returns home after years of absence. Her childhood home is still intact, and her parents and siblings still live in the area. Her friends welcome her back, and it seems on the surface as if the whole town is welcoming Anna with open arms. Then Anna looks back on the childhood she spent in this place. On the quiet and peaceful farm, Anna sees her younger self, who had been the object of her brother\'s sexual curiosity. She becomes helpless against the attack from her past. She wants to yell at her family, who knew everything yet feigned ignorance: Here I am, the person that I am, the person who was hurt and scarred, the person you kept silent about. About Anna shows that memories of trauma are fated to become poetry.
