Love Games wittily visualizes the point that “love” is a kind of “game” or a “role play” with set rules in itself. The impressive black-and-white images on the screen, with the background minimized, allow people to focus on the game that the two lovers play on screen. The gender differences subtly suggested in this role-playing game of love make the audience laugh because of their ridiculousness, or leave a bitter aftertaste, but the director\'s detailed direction that makes such a perspective come alive is quite impressive.
