SYNOPSIS

Living in a huge mansion covered with snow, Ruben, who is blind hires Marie, whose face is covered with scars. The man who can only communicate with the world through the sense of touch and the woman who¡¯s afraid of someone¡¯s feeling her face: the ironic encounter ends up being a beautiful love story improvised with the images of Andersen¡¯s fairy tale, ¡ºThe Snow Queen.¡»
When Ruben decides to get an eye operation with the help of new technology, Marie reaches the painful decision of whether or not to stay. Their selfless love, which has blossomed for their physical condition is about to fall apart again with the intrusion of science. Ruben never lets the rational world where visual sense has the priority destroy their fantasy world. Using Andersen¡¯s ¡ºThe Snow Queen¡», this films question what the ¡®evil piece of mirror¡¯ on people¡¯s mind is these days. This film accomplishes the feat of showing us the world of Ruben and Marie, which has to be felt, not seen. (Jay SOHN)
