SYNOPSIS

In 2001, Signetics moved its factory and fired the women workers working there. Since then women workers have taken on the struggle to protest their firing anyway that they could from a street-sit-down strike to a fast. At first, their husbands were reliable supporters but they soon forgot the meaning of the struggle and the value that the wives placed on their labor for the company as the struggle has continued. Even though the women workers go out on the streets to strike during the daytime then rush into the kitchen and prepare dinner as soon as they are back home in the evening, they still feel guilty. In this documentary the different estimated value of labor according to gender is strikingly revealed at home in housekeeping labor, the labor values of a husband as a head of a family and a wife as a woman are estimated differently from each other. The last scene at home gives the social reason why society demands the role of a superwoman from women workers and condenses the irrationality. (KIM Sunah)
