SYNOPSIS
This Indian piece, based on the Hindu phrase honoring the virtue of the dog, applies the schemes of race, gender and class to animals. Amongst the ‘pure-bloods’ bred by Western bourgeois males and the ‘Jindo Dog’ that has become the Korean icon of nationalism, can ‘mom’-lacking both a good master and time-make herself up and handle the burden of taking care of her puppies? Can she survive? (Kim Joon-yang)

Sailja Jain is a final year diploma student of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad in India. She is presently working on her Diploma project with a new upcoming Television Channel to promote Indian culture and tradition. She completed her BFA from College of Art, Delhi and joined the postgraduate Animation Programme at the NID in 1999.
